1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BriefRoom (briefroom.app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

BriefRoom is an AI-powered interview preparation platform. We provide practice interviews, feedback, resume review, and coaching tools powered by artificial intelligence. Our service is designed to help you prepare — it does not guarantee employment outcomes.

AI-generated feedback, scores, and suggestions are for practice purposes only and may not reflect actual interview outcomes. Use your own judgment in preparing for real interviews.

3. Accounts and Access

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits.
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Free and Paid Plans

  • Free plan: Includes 2 practice interview sessions and access to browse questions, tips, and role descriptions.
  • Sprint ($29): 30 days of unlimited access to all features from the date of purchase. One-time payment, no auto-renewal.
  • Career Launch ($59): 90 days of unlimited access to all features from the date of purchase. One-time payment, no auto-renewal.
  • Access expires at the end of the purchased period. Your data (session history, progress) is retained and accessible on the free plan.

5. Payments and Refunds

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment information.
  • All purchases are one-time payments. There are no recurring charges or auto-renewals.
  • Refunds may be requested within 7 days of purchase if you have not used more than 3 interview sessions. Contact us at the email below.
  • Discount codes and promotional offers are subject to availability and may be revoked at any time.

6. Referral Program

  • Registered users receive a unique referral code.
  • When someone makes a paid purchase using your referral code, you earn a cash credit ($5 for Sprint, $10 for Career Launch).
  • Payouts are processed manually after a 7-day holding period.
  • Self-referrals (using your own code) are prohibited and will not be credited.
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the referral program at any time.
  • Abuse of the referral program (fake accounts, fraudulent purchases) will result in forfeiture of credits and account suspension.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or payment requirements.
  • Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract content from the platform.
  • Share your account credentials or paid access with others.
  • Submit content that is offensive, harmful, or violates others' rights.
  • Attempt to manipulate AI scoring through prompt injection or adversarial inputs.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our AI prompts or proprietary systems.

8. Intellectual Property

  • BriefRoom's question bank, AI prompts, scoring algorithms, and platform design are our intellectual property.
  • Content you create (interview answers, resume text, STAR stories) remains yours.
  • AI-generated content (cheat sheets, pitches, feedback) is generated for your personal use. You may use it in your real interviews and job applications.
  • You may not redistribute or sell AI-generated content commercially.

9. AI Disclaimer

BriefRoom uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to simulate interviews and provide feedback. Please understand:

  • AI responses are generated and may contain inaccuracies.
  • Scores and feedback are subjective assessments by an AI model, not definitive evaluations.
  • Company-specific interview styles are based on publicly available information and may not reflect current practices.
  • We do not guarantee that practicing on BriefRoom will result in a job offer or admission.
  • The platform is a practice tool — not a substitute for professional career coaching.

10. Limitation of Liability

BriefRoom is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to interview outcomes, career decisions, or data loss.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.
